Hello! I'm glad you're here.

Raising a family is beautiful, messy, joyful, and completely exhausting all at once.

I know firsthand how it feels—I didn't realize how much of my own past I still needed to heal until my little one started pushing my buttons! Parenting has a way of showing us our raw edges, and it is entirely normal to feel overwhelmed. We were never meant to do this on our own.
For over 20 years, I have walked alongside parents navigating life’s heaviest challenges, from trauma, dsicrimination, poverty and loss to war, displacement and racism. This is a warm, judgment-free space where you can let your guard down and just be you. As a proud LGBTQ2SIA+ and gender-diversity ally, I welcome every kind of family exactly as you are. Together, we can work through the hard stuff so you can find more confidence, peace, and genuine joy in your daily life.

Two-Eyed Seeing

Braiding Two Worlds Together

  • Clinical Roots: My initial social work training was at the Unversity of British Columbia. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Social Work from King's College London (UK) and certifications in Systemic (Family) Practice, EMDR, Theraplay™️, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics™️.
  • My Cultural Roots: Raised in Northern Alberta to Northern European settlers, I still feel connected to the trees, the sky and smell of a campfire.
  • Indigenous Teachings: My late kinship Uncle Peter (former Fort McMurray Métis President) taught me the art of quiet observation. I think the Heron still has many lessons for me.
  • He also taught me how to drive a snowmobile through deep overflow water sitting atop a frozen lake in Northern Sask one New Year's Eve: "You'll feel scared, like you will sink, but you need to keep going."
Western therapy cannot replace cultural healing. But they can travel the river together with respect and good listening (Dr Reg Crowshoe, Adrian Goulet). Wherever you are on your journey, I am here to listen and walk alongside you.
