Sometimes, we must look to the past to see the future.

Why Care for Your Own History First?

  • Healing generational loops: Children instinctively know how to push our buttons, which often trigger our own unresolved childhood hurts.
  • Moving past survival mode: When your own past trauma is unaddressed, your nervous system easily gets overwhelmed by your child's distress, making it hard to stay calm.
  • Filling your own tank: You cannot give a child the emotional security you are still struggling to find within yourself.
  • Shifting from reaction to response: Processing your own history allows you to stop reacting out of old pain and start responding to your child with presence and clarity.

Trauma Therapy for Adults

While I focus on work with parents and carers, I provide trauma therapy to adults of all ages. I have worked extensively with sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Sometimes our life experiences can feel like too much to carry. You might notice your emotions shifting quickly, find it hard to respond the way you want to during conflicts, or feel a bit disconnected and numb. If you are struggling to find joy in the little moments, please know that your mind and body are just trying to cope—and you do not have to navigate this healing journey alone.
There are many models for helping people cope with traumatic experiences. EMDR therapy is recognised around the world as one of the most effective treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder.

Attachment Informed Therapy for Parents & Carers

Parenting from a Place of Steady, Calm Understanding

Attachment therapy helps you make sense of your child’s deeper emotional needs and how these intersect with your own expectations, hopes, and fears. Together, we help you grow a closer, more secure bond with your children.
This reflective talk therapy explores your own childhood, family dynamics, and the social, religious and cultural beliefs that shape your interactions with your children. We recognize that parenting practices are deeply rooted in family and cultural history.
In the context of Treaty 1 Territory, we hold immense reverence for traditional Indigenous kinship and family structures that were systematically disrupted by colonial policies. Our attachment work is committed to honoring and rebuilding these sacred generational bonds, helping you consciously choose the kind of relationship you want to nurture with your children.
